November 2026

Plant 4.0 partners will gather at TotalEnergies' Digital Factory to celebrate ten years of the programme. The event will look back on a decade of innovation and success stories, before turning to what lies ahead: what will the plant of tomorrow look like? The afternoon will retrace the programme's journey and offer a first look at the future of industry, exploring the industrial challenges and future scenarios awaiting our industrial players.

Innovation Pitch Session at Vivatech 2026

June 2026

The Plant 4.0 innovation session took place at TotalEnergies' booth during VivaTech, welcoming over 70 participants and focused on AI solutions for industry. After a discussion on the main challenges reported by partners regarding the integration of AI in industrial settings (interoperability, change management, cybersecurity, and collaboration between AI and operators) NaTran shared feedback on its pilot of the Exanodia solution. Five other start-ups presented their innovative solutions:

• Renardo Tech & EDF: feedback on their pilot on AI-assisted inspection
• Wheere: real-time location tracking on industrial sites
• AutomAssist: physical AI for technicians
• Sentics: physical AI for site monitoring
• Giskard: cybersecurity for AI agents

Two start-ups were selected to join the program: Exanodia and Renardo-tech.

Partners Workshop online: Human and AI

May 2026

Theworkshop was held as an online session on 21 May 2026 . It launched the second thematic cycle of the Plant 4.0 annual programme, focused on the collaboration between operators and AI in industrial environments. The session gave partners the opportunity to share their own experiences and engage on the topics most relevant to their operations, framed around key themes such as operational integration of AI and robotic solutions, change management, human and field constraints, and a prospective view on the future organisation of industrial work.

April 2026

On April 2nd, six innovative solutions from France, Germany, South Korea and beyond pitched cutting-edge solutions in computer vision, autonomous robotics, spatial intelligence and AI-powered inspection to our partners. Two start-ups were selected to join the Plant 4.0 ecosystem: Newboot.io, with a digital twin platform for real-time asset tracking and access control in industrial sites, and Octomiro, with autonomous AI-powered inspection robots for industrial environments. Six start-ups pitched in total: IRVIS, SnapScale, Octomiro, deeplify, Newboot.io and GiZiL

Partners Workshop at Fives: Physical AI

February 2026

In February, Plant 4.0 partners gathered at Fives' headquarters for a strategic workshop featuring Amazon, where leading industrial players shared how they are leveraging AI across their operations and aligned on the key challenges still standing between pilots and real-world deployment. The programme included a feedback session from Fives and Amazon on their Physical AI approach and exchanges among Plant 4.0 partners on their own use cases and experimentations. We were also very happy to welcome ENGIE as the newest partner of Plant 4.0.

November 2025

The Plant 4.0 selection committee of November 25 took place at Impulse Partners’ offices, with a focus on the theme of Maintenance and Purchasing Management. Six start-up pitched their industrial use cases, showcasing innovative solutions to address mainenance and purchasing related challenges in operations. Four start-up were selected to join the program: Bluemarket, CircularPlace, Samotics and Samp.

October 2025

The Plant 4.0 partners met to visit SUEZ' CIRSEE (International Center for Research on Water and the Environment) and were shown the dismantling platform on three use cases: photovoltaic panels, EV batteries, and wind turbines. They then shared their challenges and the approaches they have adopted in their companies to maintenance management issues.

June 2025

The Plant 4.0 selection committee of June 12 took place at TotalEnergies’ booth during VivaTech, with a focus on the theme of Water Management. Five start-ups pitched their industrial use cases, showcasing innovative solutions to address water-related challenges in operations. At the end of the session, two start-ups were selected to join the program: Alpinov X and Chemdoc.

The first Plant 4.0 pitch session of 2025 was held at TotalEnergies' Normandy refinery, focusing on the theme of Knowledge Management. Five start-ups presented their innovative solutions to address partners’ challenges in areas such as knowledge management, employee training, and more.

The Plant 4.0 partners met to share their challenges and the approaches they have adopted in their companies to knowledge management issues. The partners discussed a range of topics including knowledge transfer, AI solutions for finding information in internal documentation, and employee training.
